Description
The PVL Underwater Cutting Torch is the culmination of over ten years of development and testing in diverse underwater conditions. This innovative tool delivers faster and more efficient performance compared to traditional cutting torches, allowing divers to achieve cutting speeds of 15 to 20 meters per hour. Its durable design minimizes the need for frequent part replacements, making it a cost-effective choice for underwater operations.
Built for precision, the PVL torch utilizes a three-hose system for gas and oxygen delivery, ensuring clean and accurate cuts. Operating on a 1:10 gas-to-oxygen ratio, the system optimizes resource consumption, allowing up to 600 meters of cutting before the bracket needs replacing. Divers can choose between two torch angles, 55° and 90°, depending on their personal preferences and operational needs.
The torch is delivered as a kit, which includes a durable carrying case and an underwater igniting device. Designed with portability in mind, the PVL Cutting Torch is compact and lightweight, making it easy to transport and deploy in various underwater environments.
This cutting system operates without electricity, eliminating the need for external power supplies and reducing risks such as temporary blindness (arc eye) associated with thermic torches. With minimal maintenance requirements and a robust construction, the PVL Underwater Cutting Torch is an investment in efficiency, reliability, and long-term cost savings.
Whether for construction, wreck removal, or other underwater applications, the PVL Cutting Torch delivers unmatched performance and dependability.

Specifications
It is not possible to adjust the cutting flame under water. The flame is adjusted by changing the pressure reducers above the water.
Table pressure / diving depth | |||
Depth (msw) | Gas pressure (bar) | Oxygen pressure (bar) | Cutting oxygen pressure (bar) |
0 | 1 | 4 | 6,5 |
5 | 1,5 | 4,5 | 7 |
10 | 2 | 5 | 7,5 |
15 | 2,5 | 5,5 | 8 |
20 | 3 | 6 | 8,5 |
25 | 3,5 | 6,5 | 9 |
30 | 4 | 7 | 9,5 |

As indicated in the table, the pressures for the cutting oxygen apply up to 25 mm material thickness. When cutting a thicker material, the pressure for the cutting oxygen can be raised without negative effects on the adjustment of the torch.
