Most underwater connectors are attached to cables using a casted potting process. Our reusable flexible molds, made from durable orange silicone rubber with a Shore A10 hardness, simplify this process while ensuring consistent and reliable results. These molds are specifically designed for diving umbilicals and various underwater cable applications, offering unmatched convenience and efficiency.
One significant advantage of our molds is their non-adhesive properties, which make them exceptionally easy to clean. Any spilled casting material simply falls off, eliminating the need for additional cleaning agents. The molds also do not require a release agent spray, simplifying the process further and reducing costs. Additionally, with proper care—stored in a dry, UV-protected environment—the molds can be reused over 100 times, providing a cost-effective and sustainable solution for your underwater needs.
Our molds are highly flexible, allowing for a diameter range of +2mm. For example, a 6mm mold can be used for cables ranging from 6mm to 8mm, adding versatility to their application. For optimal results, we recommend using a polyurethane potting material, which ensures a secure and durable connection. The molds are primarily used with MC, RMG, and SC series connectors, including popular models like MCIL2F, MCIL4F, RMG-4-FS, and SCIL4F, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of applications.
Our standard range includes configurations for inline connectors. For unique requirements, we also offer custom molds at a set price.
