Potting (aka covering things in glue) is necessary when working with electronics in a marine environment. Potting compounds electrically isolate the electronics and cables from water and protect them from pressure. We use some form of potting in most of our products, and it is necessary to use it with some of our products, including:
– Cable Penetrators
This potting kit includes 10 each of syringes, Luer tips, cups, and mixing sticks, which help make potting quick and clean! It works great with Loctite Marine Epoxy and other potting compounds and adhesives. The needles are blunt and safe for use.
Note: These syringes are neither medical grade nor individually sterilized, so we don’t recommend using them for anything other than adhesives!
