Description
The ROV Power Supply Enclosure is a Outland Technology Power Supply (OTPS) component. This system component is a drop-in replacement for the battery enclosure on the BlueROV2 and converts high-voltage power from the Topside Power Supply Unit to the low-voltage power needed by the ROV. It’s built into an aluminium 3″ enclosure and is ready to connect to the BlueROV2 electronics enclosure and the OTPS high-power tether cable.
The ROV Power Supply Enclosure has pre-installed power and tether signal cables with penetrators, making it a drop-in replacement for the original BlueROV2 battery tube. The wires in the tether signal cable are connected to the 8 pins on the tether signal connector, allowing pass-through connections for the Fathom-X signal and an auxiliary twisted pair.
The enclosure has two wet-mateable electrical connectors that allow the ROV to be connected and disconnected from the tether cable. One 3-pin connector handles the high-voltage power and ground connection, while an 8-pin connector handles the signal connections.
Added internal features lock the enclosure shut, and tamper-resistant screws prevent users from accidentally accessing high-voltage electronics.
