Description
The MC micro series is the most used connector for underwater applications from Birns. The mold of the connectors is made from vulcanized neoprene that makes for a durable water tight seal. Each contact can be used on 300 volt and is capable of transferring at least 8 ampere. The MC micro series is used for all Novasub underwater peripherals, such as cameras, lights and depth sensors.
The overmold connectors are used for attaching a connector directly to a cable using a mold. They are made from Stainless Steel. The MB-A and MB-B can be used as molds.
The connectors are compatible with the same series from Subconn, Seacon and Impulse. However, please note that the pin layout for the 9-16 pin series from Subconn is different. Therefore there are 2 variants for these pin amounts, the -SU and the -BIRNS. The -SU is compatible with the Subconn series and the -BIRNS with the Birns series.
