Description
For users who wish to install a Cobalt coaxial connector on their own cable, Blue Trail Engineering offers Cobalt Series Coaxial Cable Termination Kits. These kits include a connector shell, PEEK insert, MCX connector, and locking sleeve.
This cable termination kit is compatible with RG-174, RG-316, RG-188A, and LMR-100 coaxial cables. Cables must either have a bondable jacket material (such as polyurethane) or the user must enclose the cable in tubing made of a bondable material (see instructions in the Downloads tab).
Coaxial Cable Termination Kits do not require a special Cable Termination Tool.
Please note that these coaxial connectors are NOT pressure tolerant when open-face (unmated). They must have either a fully intact mating connector/cable or a dummy plug or dummy cap installed to be fully waterproof.
