Description
The BaseStation is a Wi-Fi access point for the BlueBoat with a 2.4 Ghz Mikrotik radio, internal battery and charge management, and USB-C connectivity. You can connect directly over USB-C or your device to the access point with your BlueBoat.
The internal radio is an access point, so it broadcasts a wifi network to which the BlueBoat and your device can connect. That makes using your boat wirelessly from a tablet or laptop easy, but you can also make a hardwired connection via the USB-C port.
By default, the base station has an omnidirectional whip antenna, providing up to 250 m of range. If you need more range, it’s compatible with directional antennas that provide a more focused signal towards the BlueBoat. You can connect an antenna to the box’s N-type bulkhead.
A control pad shows the battery’s charge state and allows you to turn the box on and off and control charging.
